It’s Adopt a Dog Month!

Adopt a Dog Month Special

During the month of October, we will be featuring special adoption fees of $10 for dogs, plus $12 for the rabies vaccine. Not to leave our feline companions behind, we have also reduced fees for cats to $25 plus the $12 rabies inoculation. Normally the adoption fees are $85 plus the rabies vaccine.

There are many advantages of adopting a shelter pet. All of our adoptable cats and dogs are already spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and microchipped. This means they are truly ready to go home! Besides the material conveniences of adopting a shelter pet, you can also feel good about giving a home to a homeless cat or dog when you adopt one.

If you are ready to open your home to a shelter pet, visit our adoption facility located at 6781 San Casa Drive, Englewood, or view all of our adoptable animals at www.humane.org.

  1. I have a tall cat tower if you can use it. Someone has to pick it up. It is large and very heavy. Carpet needs cleaning but otherwise In great condition. I may also have another one to give away. Love that Yorkie in the photo. Any other 10 ish pound dogs?

    1. Hi Marilyn, Please give our customer service staff a call at 941-474-7884 during our public hours Tuesday-Saturday and they will be able to answer any questions you have about donating! Also, We do have smaller dogs come to us but they tend to get adopted pretty quickly, so you will have to keep an eye out on our website. You can find all of our currently adoptable dogs here: http://humane.org/index.php/adoptable-dogs.
